Skein n' Bones

 Skein n' Bones is the story of monsters who love knitting and how it changes their lives and world forever. 

The idea for Skein n' Bones came to me when I worked in a yarn shop in Chicago called Windy Knitty. We were preparing for the Chicago Yarn Crawl, and the image of crawling skeins of yarn popped into my head. So, I created these skein monsters that we used to decorate the windows during the yarn crawl.

After the yarn crawl, I couldn't get the characters out of my head. Then the idea of a comic came into my head. I started to create a cast of characters, and even knitting patterns of the characters. I even received a write up in Simply Knitting Magazine, after I launched the comic strip online.

When I started to do my research on self-publishing for my novel. I had the idea of creating kid's books with the characters from Skein n' Bones.
